FOLUSA and Paula Poundstone Form National Partnership
Emmy-award winning comedian Paula Poundstone has been named national spokesperson for Friends of Libraries U.S.A. The "Wait, Wait…Don't Tell Me!" panelist, mother of three, and author of There's Nothing in This Book That I Meant to Say will lend her name, voice, and humor to help Friends groups around the country promote themselves and their libraries. Babies Love Books!
In honor of the publication of its first book, Once Upon a Holiday the Moon Fell Out of the Sky, Nordstrom has donated $10,000 to support FOLUSA's Books for Babies program. In conjunction, FOLUSA has launched Babies Love Books, a website just for parents and caregivers that explores the world of reading to babies and toddlers. Click here to learn about 20 Books for Babies matching grants for $500 each to be awarded in 2008 to Friends groups, libraries, woman's clubs, and other nonprofit organizations.
